Wendy - putting < > marks in front and back of your article url will allow people to link directly to it with a single click. :-)
Great article, Wendy, thank you for posting the link. It would be really nice to see a link for some more pictures....hint, hint.
We want a book - we want a book - we want a book...
Hi, Wendy, Rick and Chris here - real nice piece in the newsletter -catches the spirit of your amazing journey very nicely. As paddlers, and especially as Newfoundlanders, we'd really like to see you do a book about the places you saw, the people you met and the logistics of getting yourself safely (and rapidly!) thru 2,700 kms. of one of the most challenging marine environments in the world.
There are, of course, other things for you to consider - work, family, future adventures - but your achievement deserves to be recorded and shared if there's any way to do it.
Maybe you could 'do a Bernie' - do the book, and come back for a summer of promoting it door to door in all the communities you visited ;->))
Regards, and take care out there.
Rick and Chris
Trying to write with clarity and flow is challenging following a demanding day of teaching with over 120 students daily. I need a quiet place away from fatigue and distractions!
Glad to hear from you!
Wendy:
Great to hear from you, too - and with Chris being a teacher, we know exactly what you mean re needing some peace and quiet for writing. Guess the journalist in me just hates to see such an incredible story escape being between two covers :->))
If you need a quiet place with few distractions next summer to work on the book, we know some people in Upper Gullies who'd probably make a cabin in Eastport available - just take care of their crazed 'crackies', while they go paddling for a few weeks or months... oh, rats, that won't work...no distractions, right??? ;->))
Regards, and take care out there.
Rick and Chris

Wendy - Blogger comments don't seem to like html links! Here's what the link has to look like in your posting:
Put a < symbol in front of this:
a href="www.geocities.com/glska/Newsletter.html"
and immediately add a closing > symbol. Follow that with something like Click here.
Follow that with a < then /a and finally end with a > symbol.
That should work! Sorry about the messed up postings above... :-(
Anonymous, who are you? I tried adding the <> and now nothing will appear. Maybe my Mac has been affected by the lightning strike, because there are more symbols appearing on my PC than on my Mac when I try to post. I just copied the website while editing my post, and nothing appeared. Grrr.
Wendy, I'll email you the proper code. Just cut and paste it in. Whoever is giving you the free advice seems to be having some difficulties...
Great article, BTW!
